phoenix and Trish
For those of you that I have not had the pleasure of meeting yet, my name is Trish. I have been working side by side with Mike Harvey for approx. 7 months. In this time I have completed The Canine Coaches Training Program and adopted my man Phoenix. I am currently working as Mikes Trainer and accepting clients. I am very excited to be a part of such a great team of K9 lovers.
The Canine Training Program demonstrated to me how to be an effective and positive trainer. I worked with numerous dogs through training giving me the demographics to deal with future clients. The on hands experience was more than effective in learning all the proper steps in becoming an effective trainer for K9’s and their families. I have also met some amazing people through the group classes held by The Canine Coach developing friendships.
On Sept. 1st, 2009 my life changed I met Phoenix. I discovered Phoenix through a popular website www.Petfinder.com He was being fostered by Jacquelyn Johnston assoc. with No Paws Left Behind an emergency animal rescue located in Miami,FL.(www.facebook.com/nopawleftbehind.emergencypetrescue) Phoenix is a Belgium Malinios and German Shepard mix, with a red foxlike appearance. When I first met him he was very shy and unsure of the world which made him a very insecure dog. I knew there was an amazing soul just dying to get out, he just needed a purpose and a steady environment. After spending a short time I fell in love and did not want to go home without him. Jacquelyn made the adoption process a synch. In which I am grateful! Phoenix came home and I immediately started working with him on his obedience and social skills, trying to get him out of his shell. The group sessions and socialization offered by the Canine Coach Team has also been more than effective in his training. After a few weeks of vigorous focus work mixed with obedience training he has become an amazing K9. The trick training and agility has built his confidence making him a much happier dog. Here is a video for you.... I hope you enjoy.
